What information are you collecting?

We collect the following personal information:

Where did you get this information from?

This information is provided directly by you, the individual, when you agree to be added to our records for the Imago Data Service for Imagery.

Why are you collecting my information and what are you using it for?

We use your information to keep you up to date on programme activity, events and news items relating to the Imago Data Service for Imagery.

What allows you to use my information?

We rely on your consent to use your personal information for this purpose. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and you can be removed from our mailing list at any time by contacting us using the details below.

Who has access to my data within the University?

Your personal data will only be processed by University of Liverpool staff where it is necessary for them to undertake their role and/or for the purposes detailed above. The University may also authorise the use of third parties and service providers acting on behalf of the University.

Who will my information be shared with?

We do not share your information with any external parties. Your data is kept internally within the University of Liverpool and is not stored or processed outside the UK.

Will my data be used to make automated decisions about me?

No.

How long will you keep this data for and why?

We will keep your data for the duration of the Imago Data Service for Imagery project. Once the project has ended, your data will be securely destroyed.

How can I be removed from your records?

You can ask to be removed from our mailing list, or ask us to correct or delete your information, at any time by contacting us using the details below.

What rights do I have when it comes to my data?

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you may have the following rights with regards to your personal data:


  • The Right to access – you have the right to see a copy of the personal data that the University holds about you and find out what it is used for. We call this a Subject Access Request. You can read more about this right here.

  • The Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) you have the right to ask the University to remove data that we hold about you.

  • The Right to data portability – you have the right to ask for your data to be transferred back to you or to a new provider at your request.

  • The Right to object – you have the right to ask the University to stop using your personal data, or to stop sending you marketing information, or to complain about how your data is used.

  • The Right to prevent automated decision making – you have the right to ask the University to stop using your data to make automated decisions about you or to stop profiling your behaviour (where applicable).

  • The Right to raise a complaint – you have the right to raise concerns about how the University uses your personal data
